Basic Weapons
This is a list of all of the basic weapons (Non-Magic) you can find in Egoboo.
BROAD SWORD
Type: Slice
Damage: 1-8 Slash
Strength Bonus: 20%
CINQUEDEA
Type: Thrust
Damage: 1-3 Poke
Strength Bonus: 5%
Cinquedeas have a high likelihood of being kursed. It's most often not worth it to pick one up.
CLAW
Type: Chop
Damage: 0-2 Slash
Strength Bonus: 15%
CROSSBOW
Type: Shoot
Damage: 2-6 Poke
Strength Bonus: None
Crossbows are ranged weapons that use limited ammunition. Bolts can become embedded in characters or monsters, periodically dealing one damage (Poke type).
GONNE
Type: Shoot
Damage: 5-10 Crush
Strength Bonus: None
Gonnes are a ranged weapon that use limited ammunition. Gonnes can only be used by G'nomes or Inventors.
HATCHET
Type: Chop
Damage: 4-5 Slash
Strength Bonus: 25%
Hatchets are especially powerful weapons as they cannot be blocked by shields.
KNIFE
Type: Thrust
Damage: 1 Poke
Strength Bonus: 5%
LANCE
Type: Joust
Damage: Slowest 3-6 Poke, Medium 5-10 Poke, Fast 8-16 Poke, Fastest 11-24 Poke
Strength Bonus: 50%
Only Soldiers and Paladins can use lances. When you are riding on a mountable creature or vehicle, you will automatically ready your lance. Any enemy you run into will be damaged. Damage depends on how fast you are moving.
LONG BOW
Type: 2-Handed Shoot
Damage: 2-8 Poke
Strength Bonus: 5%
Long bows are ranged weapons that use limited ammunition. Arrows can become embedded in characters or monsters, periodically dealing one damage (Poke type).
MACE
Type: Bash
Damage: 1-3 Crush
Strength Bonus: 20%
MALLET
Type: Bash
Damage: 2-4 Crush
Strength Bonus: 25%
PICK
Type: Chop
Damage: 2-5 Slash
Strength Bonus: 15%
PISTOL
Type: Shoot
Damage: 3-6 Crush
Strength Bonus: None
This sidearm has faster fire rate and is cheaper, but less ammo and damage than the Gonne.
QUARTER STAFF
Type: Bash
Damage: 1-5 Crush
Strength Bonus: 10%
Four of these make a complete staff.
SHIELD
Not really a weapon...
Type: Parry
Damage: N/A
Strength Bonus: N/A
Blows that strike the shield are deflected. There are several different patterns for shields, but there is no difference other than looks.
STILETTO
Type: Thrust
Damage: 1-2 Poke
Strength Bonus: 5%
The Stiletto is often poisoned. There is a chance that you will poison yourself, but this is decreased or increased depending on your wisdom. Rogues will never poison themselves. Paladins are too honorable to use poisoned weapons.
SPEAR
Type: Thrust
Damage: Stabbing 2-5 Poke, Throwing 4-5 Poke
Strength Bonus: 5%
Stacked spears (e.g., you have more than one of them) are thrown.
SPIKE MACE
Type: Bash
Damage: 2-4 Crush
Strength Bonus: 20%
SWORD
Type: Slice
Damage: 3-6 Slash
Strength Bonus: 20%
TORCH
Type: Bash
Damage: Unlit 1-3 Crush, Lit 2-6 Fire
Strength Bonus: 10%
When torches touch any source of fire (Braziers, campfires, flaming enemies, etc.) they are lit. If a torch is put in your inventory or falls in water, it will be put out.
Once lit, the torch acts as a source of light.
WAR HAMMER
Type: Bash
Damage: 4-5 Crush
Strength Bonus: 35%
WHIP
Type: Special
Damage: 3-5 Slash
Strength Bonus: None
Characters and monsters hit with whips are temporarily dazed.
