I was just playing around with some old RTS stuff, and was able to use the vehicles as characters with a little tinkering. I'm just wondering, what should we do with it? I mean, the old engine doesn't work (I used Egoboo 1 with its original RTS module and everything did nothing), and I can't figure out how to rotate the turret when using the tank as a character.

Zefz has been removing the RTS stuff from the code, so I think it is fading away.

Looking at the old code, I think Aaron was going to make all of th network stuff RTS to reduce bandwidth, but he never got anywhere with it. The main problem was that his 3d selecton box never worked. I did manage to get a version of it working, but there are much better ways to handle it!

Anyway, it seems that RTS games aren't as popular anymore.

Well, can Egobooish vehicles be made? The models are still there...And you can make them into tiny, slow characters that can only move.

Yeah those can be turned into some sort of mounts.

Anyways the RTS stuff was much broken and needed a lot of work to get properly fixed. I rather see resources focused on making this a proper RPG action game Smile

Put a grip into the model. The current stable version use LEFTGRIP, while the development versions are being worked on for supporting a third grip especially for mounts.

Not really. I found out grips are quite easy once you get the hang of them (that's the real tricky part). I find making the model itself from scratch the horror.
