My weapon suggestions:
Today's will be Eastern, as those tend to get avoided.
-Kusarigama (a sort of long chained, small-cudgeled flail with a scythish thing attached; really cool, used by ninja. Look up pictures)
-Katana (an absolute must, especially if we want to do a samurai. Actually, if someone made a 3d model with a nice topknot or something, and someone else [or the same person] made the katana, that'd be all the motivation I'd probably need to make one myself)
-Fakir's Horns (a nifty little bizarre Indian weapon you'll just have to look up.)
-Kris (a wavy Moro dagger)
-Naginata (a Japanese polearm, like a glaive [which itself would also be a good weapon])
I am goin' to try katana... now! But, where do you specify where the character holds the weapon? _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

I think you dont need too. Every object you pick up is held at the bottom of that objects model. (Anything I've put in a character's hand has been handled this way, weapons, items, monsters, etc.) _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Yeah, I discovered that when I made my "Tiger Fist" item (Kind of a clawed gauntlet thing), which has unfortunately been lost due to computer failure.
I made it for my Shaolin monk that was also lost.
Bummer.
I may make them again though.
Oh, and Agent of Dread, can you make a shorter one, too (Wakizashi)? Everyone knows a Samurai can't have just one sword

*sigh* one EXISTS, and it's for an existing Samurai (DEVpack 2.38>unfinished characters). It's a Flame Sword in the shape of a Katana. Just take away the special flame effect, and modify the skin! _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/maxaxle88/

No, if this is the same samurai I saw once a long time ago, the sword is more of a shinobigatana or ninjato, by which i mean it's straight. A katana has a subtle curve; it's different than a scimitar, though, because it has consistent thickness, and even a non-falchion scimitar has a less flowing curve that usually doesn't continue through the handle; it's more abrupt.

That's strange, I could have sworn that the sword in the devpack wasn't straight, like you said it should be...
Er...wait...it IS straight...that shouldn't be too hard to change.... _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/maxaxle88/
