I don't know if this is a bug, but the Trogs in the Water Palace are incredibly good with their spears. I used a Soldier with Chainmail and took 2-3 HP each time I was hit. _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

That's fairly normal. Trogs are dangerous. I wouldn't go fight them without a ranged weapon (unless it's a single one)... _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.
But still, the damage seems a little high. I have like 17 HP and I'm dead in a matter of seconds. _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

Yes, the way it is I think Sand Palace should be first.
Toning them down would be good. _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

Hmm. Using different tactics makes them less of a challenge to defeat in my opinion. Spells and ranged weapons are of course the easiest way.
Using shield, long range weapons helps too. Trogs have low aggro range, meaning you have to get pretty close to them before they attack you. You could simply run past them with a Speed Potion, rogue or boots of running. Jump over them somehow, sneak past them (invisivillity, summon monster, etc.) _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

But the problem is I don't know how to unlock Bishopia for ranged weapons and I'm playing Soldier. =/ _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

First off, I think all gameplay will be different when we get multiplayer properly implemented.
I see what you mean with the soldier business. I will check it out myself, see if I can manage it _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Still, I think the water palace is one of the hardest normal palaces, while the sand palace is pretty much the easiest.
If I had to change their order, I'd put them into this order:
"The pen is mightier than the sword- IF it is sharpened, dipped in poison and thrown really really hard at your target. But seriously, you are better off with a sword."
