@Purple: No, they told me shortly afterwards. They had to cut through my stomach muscles and stitch them back together to get to my appendix, though, and that explains the ongoing pain. Oh, and if I haven't already said so, I'm not going back to school till around next Wednesday (7 days from now), and shouldn't do any real physical activity until around a week after school ends (no more PE for me!   ), and it also means I don't have to lift anything more than 10 pounds during that time, either. All of this will affect me for about 6 weeks, and that's around a week after school ends.

You seriously don't know?
It's this organ opposite your spleen (I think). I think it does something, but you can live without it. It causes a lot of trouble, so a lot of people don't have one anymore. Like Maxaxle.
I still have one, but this has made me wonder whether it's doing anything at all.
Maybe I should get some X-rays. 
I haven't in... Actually... never. Except my teeth.

Well, I'm no native English-speaker you know, so I didn't know what the English word meant. However, thanks for explaining it, now I do.
(It's "Blinddarm" in German.)
I actually got my appendix removed when I was eight years old or something.

Hey woodmouse, today at school we got a dead sheep delivered by the local bouther. We got to dissect it and see all the organs. I didn't get to squeeze blood out of anything though
