Righteo, so now we're all half doing something. Let's fix it up with our main goals.

Hiroy- Styx and art
Scytale- Egobible
Denis- Book
Zefz- Egoboo itself
Axel- ?
Clonk- ?
Xenom- Elysium
Maxaxle- Inventor

See? So you ARE putting 1 person to decide the storyline for Egoboo.
Well you can put me as modeler, but my current works are: Egoboo storylines, Imperial Spork, Egoboo alphabet, Map designing and other stuff that I want to implement into the game, mostly focusing on the secondary Egoboo priorities. EDIT: I would sometimes also try to fix bugs, I've managed to do this this 3 times already. _________________ Season: 3

Well my biggest Egoboo goal would be finishing the book. What I would do after that is integrate some objects and characters (actually evil characters) to the game, like:
Objects:
- The Imperial Spork
- Ring of union (the circle where you put the five sporks to get the Imperial one)
Characters:
- The queen of darkness (the one who is behind everything, besides the dracolich)
- The sand witch
- Lord Bishop? (Unless somebody already designed him)
I'll fill in more once I find some empty seats.

Actually, Denis, I'm starting to like the Queen-of-Darkness thing more and more; it would be neat if one assumed it was the Dracolich the whole time but then it turns out there's something even MORE sinister going on
Anyway, I'm doing Mount Cookia?! That was news to me!
Really, I would give it a shot, except I'm not nearly good enough with scripting to do all the people, plus I can't get Egomap to work.
I thought it was still in the idea stage....
Anyway, my main project right now is classes; I have to wrap up the unfinished ones and make the ones I had ideas to do but haven't started before I come up with even more crazy ideas! _________________

Don't exaggerate Denis. It's not because AoD put Egobible as my main goal (although this would be my main goal) that I have the entire responsability of Egoboo's storyline: i'm just proposing ideas, and ask the forum how they like it.
Or maybe I have? But in that case, it's not because I demanded it: so far, everyone liked the idea, and everytime they didn't, I tried to integrate what they had in mind to the Egobible.
So please stop complaining and taking my project as an offense. It seems you want to use your book for Egoboo's storyline (and story in general). If people here seem to prefer your book, I won't insist and let you do as you please. But if the Egobible idea suits them, then stop grousing. _________________ "Told you" Famous last words.

I said I had nothing against you being the only person to decide everything, and I'm not being sarcastic, even though you might not consider yourself as the only one. The only thing I would ask is that you stop telling me that I think that I'm the only one who decides what comes to the Egoboo storyline that I proposed, because it's just not true, I was proposing my ideas as well just like you, although not even the tiniest bit of them was accepted by most of the people, and nothing was integrated into the game at all. My point of view of how people in this community should feel is 50%-50%. In my opinion, there should be a balance, and it should be such a balance where every single person in this forum feels the same way as the other person. We all have different tastes, but we all got things in common, that's why it will work, otherwise some might end up making some sort of rebellion and working on Egoboo by themselves the way they want it to be (just like what happened to Linux, if all the people would work on only 1 version of Linux, then Linux would be powerful). I wouldn't do it because I am loyal to ZefZ of course!  _________________ Season: 3

@Denis3: Okay, sorry for getting carried away. I just had the feeling you were always opposed to my ideas. Well... I suppose I was wrong...
And it's true that, even if we don't agree, we're all loyal to Zefz (lead us Boss! ) and to the Egoboo project.

| I know, why don't you collaborate on the wiki to formulate the full story as a group, and people who are *doing* things can just *do* them and post them in the forums. If you assign people 'roles' and 'goals' you end up with lots of unfulfilled expectations. Better to do a Zefz and just work on it and let the results define your position, not your posturing. (Generic 'your'.) |

My first goal is module linking, which will be a big part of Elysium.
But Elysium will be much more than only code changes.
I don't even know if it will be a new game based on the Egoboo code or if it will be "only" a new module!
That really depends on which features get integrated into the main Egoboo codebase.
But things that are fix yet:
- ~50 maps (yes, it will take a while)
- New enemies
- Completely own storyline (I got the beginning)
- Designed for two-player coop (hot-seat) \o/
Btw:
Before I can start with the most of the modules, I'll have a look on a Egomap replacement.
'Cause it would be like hell to create every map with the current version of Egomap :-/ _________________ "Elysium" status:
