I could make super-hard versions of the palaces with different placement of the chests, items and enemies - and of course different chests, items and enemies themselves - which would be unlocked after getting the trophy of a palace five times. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

Why not just make a whole hard mode that is unlocked after beating the normal game and achieving certain other special requirements?
It would be pretty cool, I think. _________________

Yeah, I agree. And I want to make some modules harder. But if I try to do something really really really uber super mega hard, then it is almost impossible. Is that good? _________________

Almost impossible is no fun. There still have to be some balance to make it bearable but still challenging. _________________ Current Project

Ok. Well. I would like to make harder version of Shadow Palace, but if Clonk is going to make it, then I'll make... Harder... what? I want to make hard modules... _________________

And I thought my Abyss module was hard xD
Anyways the Abyss level 2 will be harder. Trust me. _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

YAY! Harder! YAY! I start now making harder Shadow Palace, if Clonkinator won't say "no" in few minutes... _________________

But weren't you already working on some modules?
*glances as signature*
And what about all the other stuff you've mentioned?!
You're confusing me; you'd better post in my topic! _________________

In development. The "what's-actually-being-worked-on" thing.
By the way, can someone sticky that (if they think that would be appropriate)? _________________

"no".
I'm going to do a hard-version of all five regular palaces, so please leave that to me. Is it okay if I don't edit the structure of the level itself, but instead just its content, as I said before? You know, I still haven't figured out how to get passages to work... _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

Yes, by all means, keep the structure exactly the same.
Just make it harder.
Like you could replace old monsters with harder versions of them, or just increase all their stats.
And you could also put more of everything.
And better loot, of course! _________________

I think wall and floor textures would be changed... It would keep the player more "patient". I mean, it would be nice if the textures would be different... _________________

Alright, this is exactly what I want to do.
I think I'll start with the sand palace; hopefully I'll get around to do so tomorrow, or at least at the weekend. I hope nobody minds if I put my favourite enemies, cobols, in there? _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

YAY! Cobols! I like Cobols, too. But Lumpkins are the best. _________________
