Awesome that it overflows? Or have you just not been to the main site in a while?
Anyway, Try holding control and using the scroll wheel to zoom the text out...
I'm not sure what caused the problem in the first place, though.
At any rate, I really need to work on the updated site!
Not sure how I'm going to do the expanded window yet, though. _________________

The new site is interesting. I like the "watermark" image on the news page, not so much the artwork but the idea of putting the image there.
Sourceforge gave me an error when I tried to choose the "Home" link. Said that the page did not exist...
One thing I liked about the other site was the in-game screenshots. That is almost a necessity! You could have a "gallery" of screen shots, but I would rather see several of them scattered over the entire site, too. |

1. Thanks. I spent way too much time on coloring that picture, and it isn't even that great!
2. Yes. "home.htm" does not exist; apparently Zefz called it "index." It'll be fixed in the next version (hopefully done on SUnday or Monday).
3. I know, screenshots are coming in the next version as well. _________________

index.htm is one of the automatic html files. If you specify a directory instead of a html file it will search for index.htm, index.html, and a bunch of others.
Hiroy posted something about not using his art in another thread? What's that about? |

That was for the trailer. I'm not sure which one was used on the website though.. I can't really see it. _________________ Current Project

| I think the art looks good on the trailer. It should be colorized, though. |

It was the cartoon with the Paladin and the Wizard. It was *supposed to* be on the Community screen, but it's just blank for some reason. _________________

Round two.
Please replace the old ones with the pictures in this folder (and add the new one):
http://www.freewebs.com/purplesquerkle/Backgrounds.zip
Now I can add download instructions, the Hobgoblin download (if you hadn't noticed, it didn't fit before ), and screenshots!
By the way, I think we need new, more interesting screenshots.
If anybody has them, post them, and nag Zefz until he uploads them to the site!
EDIT: Awww... I can't find the old screenshots, because the new website replaced everything, duh!
I need some URLS!! _________________

All of them is placed in a subfolder under .../Images/screenshots
If you don't figure it out, I will show you more properly when I have time (and time to upload the new site ) _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

And what are the files called? Just like image0-X.jpg? I think that's what it was, but I don't remember.
Oh, and did you get the new backgrounds uploaded? Or... Oh, I'm going to infer from your post that you didn't. Oh well, I can continue anyway.
...
Hey, Zefz, what do you want me to put for the download instructions?
Also, can you please make sure you have the latest version of the Hobgoblin, then get me the URL? _________________

Put the latest hobgoblin in the package and it will be uploaded. I will be updating the site today sometime.
| Quote: | Windows users should download the Windows Installer for Egoboo. You can run the file directly or save it to disk. If you choose the latter then just double-click the file once it's downloaded.
Mac OS X users should download the Mac Distro. Just double click the downloaded file and copy the resulting 'Egoboo' to some place (e.g. your Applization folder).
Linux users download the linux distro and compile the game with the source included. Read the README file included for instructions on how this is done.
Read the game manual included for more information about the game. Please report any bugs or feedback in the game forums or through this e-mail. Read the game FAQ on the forums GAME FAQ.
Egoboo is also Vista compitable. Just run your egoboo.exe file in WINDOWS 98 compatibility mode (Right click the file -> Settings). |
And open this link: http://egoboo.sourceforge.net/Images/Screenshots/
Update:
Updated. Now we just need those snaxy new html docs _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

OK, here's the latest pages: http://www.freewebs.com/purplesquerkle/Egoboo%20Website.zip
Things you need to fix (not because I'm lazy, but because I can't/shouldn't do them):
-The only background image that's actually working is the extended one (image15L.gif). Did you not upload the others?
-I left blanks on the Home and News pages for your latest news. Presumably something about the website being fixed, and about the newest version.
-The "Latest Release" page will need to be updated (should be easy, right?) with the latest release (There's a newer one since I first sent in the site, right?)
-Don't forget to add your meta tags for searches!
-The latest version of the Hobgoblin can be found here: http://www.freewebs.com/purplesquerkle/shlegg.zip. Upload it and put the link on the "Other Downloads" page.
I guess that's kind of a lot of work, but.... _________________

You also *must* change that Home.html link to index.htm or whatever. Very annoying that one of the buttons doesn't move.
Also, The way the buttons on the left-hand pane work seems strange. It might be better to leave the order alone and just make the selected button bigger (instead of floating to the top as it does now). |
