I can't think of a object which eats bodies. But it should be very easy to fix it. Even add an eating animation for it should be possible... |
The Grim Reaper uses a scythe and high-powered evil magic, Necromancers use evil-type magic and swords. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/maxaxle88/

Necromancer means magic associated with dead things.
A typical goal of a necro would be animating an army of undead... Or becoming a Lich, if he is lucky.
The current models for the necro, the lich, warlock, etc. all look very similar with the hooded cloak. |

Or Revenant from Soulcalibur III?
But, back to the actual development, I have finished the scythe's model except for the skin! How do you skin on Golem? _________________ FACEPLANT |

Here is a quick code I tought up with
| Code: |
IfBumped //Player bumps something
SetTargetToWhoeverBumped
IfTargetIsAlive //Is it killed?
DoNothing
Else
tmpargument = [UNDE]
IfTargetHasID //Cant eat undead
DoNothing
Else
PoofTarget //Destroy the body
tmpx = targetx
tmpy = targety
tmpargument = 3
SpawnExactParticle //Spawn some blood
SpawnExactParticle
SpawnExactParticle //A lot of blod! *grin*
tmpargument = rand 512 + 256 //1-3 points
HealSelf //Now gain some life
tmpargument = ACTIONXX //The frame name
DoAction //Do the action (If we want this)

| Ooh, nice. I'll put that in there, then, when I'm ready. I think I should be able to do the eat anim, that's simple enough for me as I can just make him crouch down and, um, look like he's eating. (I'm assuming that's what the argument in the second-to-last line is for, but I could be wrong.) |

Yep.. Just make him crouch and maybe bob his head or something... Lot of blood and gurgly sounds We will turn this sweet little game into a grotesque monstrosity! _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Um, grotesque monstrosity may be going a bit too far, but...
I think it was originally my idea.
Magic words- Cartoon violence.
Because, you know, cartoons are pretty violent. Like Tom and Jerry. Seriously, when's the last time you saw that? It was probably not recent enough. Things get sliced to pieces, but it's funny because they aren't human.
Most foes in Egoboo are not human.
Still. Eating monster corpses is pretty evil.
...But I wouldn't be surprised if I saw it in a cartoon |

I'm wondering what in the world you're talking about. Besides, it would be a better idea, for the script, to simply have the creature have a really big mouth or something and eat the body in one bite...but that's if the creature is HUGE. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/maxaxle88/

We're talking about a Vampyre
Which, by the way, is lookin' pretty nice, if I do say so myself.
All four textures are done (although the last one is a "Horror Film Costume" that's just the first armor only in greyscale, which doesn't make much of a difference with the pale-skinned, black-garbed vampyre, but still. I'd say it's at least noticeable). Yay! Scripting time. |
