AoD, I didn't like it either, It's hard to tell exactly what's wrong in this, maybe that's why Maxaxle said nothing.
I don't know, but the way you drew it makes it look crappy, try drawing on paper, and then drawing over it with Mspaint.
By the way, What do you need Photoshop for? you can use GIMP, or something... |
I see your approach now...
Btw, I did draw it on paper, I inked it with a fineliner pen then scanned as Lineart (2 colors) and coloured. That's why it's not anti-aliased.
And GIMP doesn't have a magic wand. 
@Zefz- Thanks! But now when I look at it, there is something that just doesn't click. 
I'm still proud, but Maxaxle partly shattered it. =/

Well, you don't have to use GIMP.
Try Paint.net or Photofiltre, they both have the magic wand.

They're both freeware I take it? I'm sure Photofiltre is, and I think Paint.net is too, right?

Photofiltre? Heck, yeah, that's what I use, too. Even a dumb idiot like me can do awesome stuff with that. I highly recommend it.
About your picture... *takes a second look*
Well... I like the idea, but as you already said, there is absolutely no shading. Also, I don't know... the proportions are a little weird, even for a sonic-ish character. Just my two cents, no offense.

Go to gimp.org and make sure you have the latest one.
