Yeah, probably; I got it from Zippy first, so...
Or, actually, first I downloaded from the original site, and I was like "this hasn't been updated in almost a year," so I looked around or something and found the Zippy site not long after.
Anyway, whoah... seven years... I guess a lot of people have been with it that long though; I'm relatively new, really. _________________

I started playing Egoboo at version 0.9.1 (or was that version called 0.9.6? I don't really remember). That version was incredibly buggy; items just vanished after each two modules (I could never figure out why) and the ash palace wasn't winnable. There wasn't even any kind of town. It was really buggy - but it was very freely editable, so I took it on and modified it, created my own stuff etc. (without any kind of modeller or map editor!) It was really fun. I uninstalled it two times and reinstalled it again - until I then found this website, with Egoboo 2.3.8 on it. And a little while later I joined these forums... _________________ Yes, it's true. Oh, so, like, you had a really old version, but at the time the old version wasn't the new version? Or was it? _________________

I don't really know if that was the newest version at that time; I got it from a games-magazine called "Screenfun". _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

Yeah, but it wasn't the resurrection-version, but old Aaron's original alpha one. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

Yeah, I figured; back in what I am now referring to as the Olden Days, it was fairly well-known, or at least more than it is know. Then it died, and nobody knew there was anything like this going on.
I just posted something about this in a different thread... _________________

I noticed that. I don't know about any good free-ware-game-sites though. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

| Yeh, Egoboo 0.91 was really bad, but it had nice graphics! That's probably because of the DirectX to OpenGL change. Now they fixed lots of stuff in Egoboo's graphics, so it's all okay now and perhaps even better. |

Well yeah.
DirectX + Game Companies/Big Buisnesses = Good Game
DirectX + Freeware Game Developers/Rogue Game Developers = Bad Game
OpenGL + " " " " " " = Good Game
OpenGL + Game Companies/Blah Blah = Good Game....mostly. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/maxaxle88/
