A "Frying Pen of +1 Might" isn't the same as "A sharpened pen dipped in poison"...

But the pen in question was going to have dragon's blood for ink, which is certainly poisonous. And flammable.

would work. There is already a common phrase about poisoned pens in english. Maybe limit it to Frying Pen and Poisoned Pen. The poisoned pen would only be mightier than the sword if thrown (as in Zefz's quote). Maybe the Frying Pen could either do the dragon breath OR you use it like a bashing weapon (a frying pan) and the sound effect sounds like a frying pan hitting someone on the head... |

I'd go with "Pen of + 1 Might"
And it would actually increase the wielder's might, or in our case, strength and size.
