Zefz said some of the music (most, I think) isn't unique. _________________

well you guys work together a new module and let me see the environment with its surroundings. then I can start putting together a good piece of music for it. I'll start practicing with an md2 model editor, I tried Golem3D...but it crashes upon launching. I run windows xp professional. _________________

Just check out the music type in Egoboo (I like especially the Menu music and the G'nome starter), anything similar to that will with 100% certanity be implemented into the game somehow. Music that would be nice to have is some Boss music tunes (The dramatic type), some scary dungeon tune (One for the last level in the Abyss and one for the first level of the Catacombs).
In the models section there is always the Alchemist's Table that has been missing in the Wizard Starter. Secondly there is the golden Throne. An always easy and nice addition to the game is weapons (But please, no more swords , I rather see some new axes or polearms).
Oh and if you want another very easy job, you can animate all the finished monsters, which just need animation to work (Already skinned and modelled!). they are in this pacakge: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/egoboo/dev238.zip _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Hey, mister, I'M doing the boss music. Seriously.
Sure, I'm not doing it right now, but I'm not doing much of ANYTHING right now and there's not much I can do about it... _________________

I had this idea of like a werewolf module taking place in a city. it would be bad ass to start with the shotgun, have intense fog and they appear out of nowhere through the fog. the music for it can be more ambient and then you enter a warehouse building with a huge werewolf and some others..then it goes into a bit of a heavy metal guitar riff with strings backing it up. _________________

Very spooky.
That is interesting, and I think it is what we need. It seems like a kind of atmospheric mood.
Since it is purely atmospheric, any melody/theme music or any other audio track could be combined with it.
One suggestion. Put more reverb on it and take out a bit of the bass. It is a bit overwhelming with headphones. Also, it doesn't seem to be IN the game like the other mood music / sound fx that are here. |

if you guys really want to go with that idea of a module, I'll improve on this piece and add drums to it that creep in as well. _________________

First someone needs to make a Werewolf (model) _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Yes, as I said, modelers have power.
If someone makes the model, I'll make the class.
But also like I said, it'd be nice if there was a centaur first.
But ehh, whatever. _________________

just as a side suggestion, I really think multiplayer should be a top priority in development. I would like to launch EgoBoo, click multiplayer and see servers pop up. whether it would be coop games, deathmatch, or maybe something interesting like capture the book or something. It might even draw in more crowds. it would be bad ass to have maps for capture with chainguns being on the side of what needs to be taken and being able to set traps for the other team to step in. _________________

Multiplayer would definitely be cool, and it's something people are trying to work on, but it's a going to be pretty challenging... _________________
