I think we're more or less agreed that they should go into the game.
If not, shout out now, before it's too late. Smile

Here's a list of all the classes. I only counted the ones that were actually in the game, or, in the case of the Archaeologist, will be fairly soon.
(Also note that some could maybe use better names.)

Soldier : Samurai
Healer : Cleric
Wizard : Archmage
Rogue : Ninja
Paladin : Templar
Adventurer : Explorer
Elf : Jive Elf
G'nome : G'nomish Engineer
Archaeologist : Treasure Hunter
Zombi : Has no hero class. Automatically changes into a Butcher instead.

Step one: Textures.

I have finished the Templar one, and will be doing the G'nomish Engineer and Samurai ones soon.
Woodmouse is doing the Jive Elf and Explorer.

Step two: Objects.

Not that difficult. We'll have to mathematically determine what the starting stats will be based on the original classes.
Then add some new abilities, of course, and that's about it.

Step three: Modules.

I believe Woodmouse will be doing these. They will be grouped by type: Arcane magic users (Wizard, Adventurer, and Elf), Divine magic users (Healer and Paladin), fighters (Soldier and Rogue), and technology users (G'nome and Archaeologist).

Step four: Integration.

Probably it will require a high-level character. Presumably high enough to have had the ability for a while, so let's say 8? Then new classes will naturally have that ability, and then can learn their own ability as well (at level 10 or something)!

Discusssiiiooooon!

Do you have 4 skins for each Hero class?

We could also have different Hero paths for each class.

Rouge = Ninja, Assassin or Bandit
Soldier = Knight, Paladin or Samurai
Wizard = Arch-Mage, Battlemage or Sorcerer

etc.

Arch mage would be awesome with spells, while battlemage would have more strength and better armor (Even chain!).

I made the one for divines already. I'll upload it now. Oh, and hint: The boss is almost unbeatable. Haven't killed it. Only with Death Scythe... So it's kinda hard... And it can never be quessed what it is...

No, that'd take too long (branches, I mean). Better to stick with just one. Or maybe two. But one to start out with, definitely.
And I figured to start out, we only need one skin. Probably we'd eventually do four, but think about how far past the end of the game all that'd be. Shocked

@Purple: I have decided my hero class:
Techie -> Inventor
I'll make the Techie Starter later; the Inventor still needs work.

Tinkerer or Alchemist sounds better in my opinion.

(Maybe Tinkerer->Alchemist? Potion specialist?)

One thing about Hero classes one ought to decide:
Are these classes specialists or improvements?

With that I mean are they actually better than their previous class or are they just different? (Gaining other skills and abilities).

The player can decide to continue with the Wizard and his spellcasting OR become a battle mage and thus gaining more life and use armor, but gaining NO more mana, mana return or caster levels.

For Aaron's sake, the Inventor is supposed to combine Advanced Weapons skills, Tech skills (includes disarming of bear traps), and Arcane Magic (but mostly Tech and Magic; the arcane magic skills have a semi-high flow and a pretty decent maximum amount (2 or even 3 bars when you first read "How to use Arcane Magic" when you turn into the Hero class of Inventor). On top of that, the Inventor will, well, invent. He will be able to combine objects at the Workbench in either Highspire or the G'nomish Capitol. The Techie will *only* have Tech abilities, and cannot actually invent. Maybe he'll be able to use magic, just maybe. But that wouldn't make sense.

I had thought they'd just be better overall.

And Maxaxle, I don't think the Inventor should have his own skills in addition to being a combined class. I say pick one and stick with it.

*shouts out* Nooooo! Shocked Crying or Very sad
I actually don't like the idea of hero classes. Unless the player is also granted the possibility not to advance to a hero class at all.

Yes that was why I was suggesting Hero classes should just be different, not better.

Like a prestige or multi-class if you are familliar with those terms.

It would be like that. The hero class module's "description" or whatever it is would say: IF YOU DON'T WANT A HERO CLASS, DO NOT BEAT THIS MODULE!!! And has anyone tested that Divine hero class module? There is nothing that changes you to hero, obviosuly... Comments, if you have... Oh and I managed to kill the boss with sword of the eternal flame and still I died, too... Kinda hard... But I made it, so... Laughing And wasn't it supposed to be ultra hard?

I vote for different, specialized hero classes.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
But no more than two for a branch. And we should start with only one each, or it'll be overwhelming....

But then, there should be like... one extra armor for the core class, or something.
So people don't feel totally disadvantaged and generally worse for staying with their base class.

Actually, you know what?
Let's just do two to start with, who cares?!
Let's all take a couple, or at least one (base class I mean, to do the hero classes for). If we spread out the work it won't seem like much.

True. If there is million hero classes, there are more of them than normal classes.
