|
|
Requirements for the integration of the new classes into the game (I'll "check off" the ones that get done):
1. Class-specific items put in palaces, or purchasable in shops.
The new classes need to be able to obtain more armor and any associated special equipment (tools, weapons, etc.).
{Working: nobody}
2. Mana potions rescripted.
They should only be usable by Arcane and Divine magic users.
{Working: PurpleSquerkle}
3. New items for mana recovery.
Nature mana (used by Druidesses and Cobols) can be recovered with magic herbs. PK mana (used by Hobgoblins and Androids) can be recovered with mind nodes.
{Working: PurpleSquerkle}
4. New mana bar colors.
Dark green (Nature) and white (non-magical special bar, like the Werewolf's) will need to be added. Anything that uses the blue bar (now PK) will need to be changed. Programming will probably need to be done to integrate the two new colors (and maybe leave some elbow room for more, if they are ever needed).
{Working on graphics: PurpleSquerkle}
{Working on programming: nobody}
5. Fossils should be added to all modules.
Either only Archaeologists can see them, or you need a special pick (only usable by Archaeologists) to dig them out.
{Working on fossils: nobody}

Good idea. Looks very structurized.
Why not make mana potions drinkable by any class? But only give mana points if they are divine or arcane? That way people will be mystified when drinking the strange blue potion.
Speaking of which, do you think we should have random potion skins? _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Random... I think not... But I think there should be a potion that increases your maximum mana or maximum hp by 1-2, but not heal you but the opposite, like when you drink it, you would lose 1-2 of your life but get more maximum. How does this sound like? _________________

It is already in the game
Try drinking the "Elixir of Mana" or "Elixir of Life". They either drop with the Deamon Lord or can be bought in "Le secret shoppe" for a LOT of money. _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Yes, but not entirely random ones...
Let's say, have cold colors (Blue, Green, Purple) for Mana,
and warm colors (Red, Yellow, Orange, Brown) for Hp.
Other potions (Speed, Poison, Levitate, etc.) should have different colors from a predefined category of colors for each. _________________ "To err is human, to really mess up requires a computer."

I was thinking of 100% random ones. Blue potions can be healing, speed or mana. When you identify them, their name becomes know, you are awarded some xp and the true potion color comes forth.
Waddya think? _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Yeah, that's what I wanted to do; if you're not an arcane/divine user, you just say "Ugh, this is awful!" or something. Shouldn't be hard for me to script.
Also, random skins would be pretty cool. Potion of fruit juice!

Nah. I never was a friend of random potion skins, except for my PnP.

I agree on this one though. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so. |

Urgh, I forgot I signed myself up for all that.
It might have to wait until after I finish the Vampyre and Hobgoblin, which should be VERY SOON as long as there are scripting commands that will support flight! *nudgezefznudgecoughcough* _________________

What? It should already be in the latest code (In the SVN trunk in the 2.x branch).
When it becomes stable enough for release, I'm sure we will let ya know. _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Ooh, it is? But that doesn't do me any good if I don't know how to use it!
