When I try to start egoboo up I get one of those windows messages saying,
Egoboo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...
I tried it on the 3 most recent versions, none worked.
I run windows xp
NOT really sure of my system specs, I only know my sound card and graphics card, but Its a pretty nice computer and im 100% sure I qualify (I do lots of things that require more power than this)
So if anyone can help me out please do so, great game that I want to play again. _________________ soon to come!
Which version do you want to work the most?

Latest stable release is 2.6.1b.
I get the same error, Except for the old install of 2.7.5.
It seems that the installer with the red "E" icon causes this error, the old 2.7.5 didn't use that installer, so I got it to work. _________________ Never, ever, ever click this. Chainsaw's Cell [Last update: 27th May '08]

Yeah, I still have the same problem. This is getting annoying; something seems to be up with the builds...

It seems 2.4.4b is a version that has worked on all pc's.
And the installer should not affect if the game works or not. I think it is rather the .exe file which is compiled differently. _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Could anyone post a link to 2.4.4, I'm having some trouble finding it.

Well, it was probably my cookie anyway. Either that or it was nasty. AoD hates cookies, so he probably wouldn't put much effort into them.
Anyway, even though it's probably not a problem with you not meeting the system requirements, it's nice to know how to do this (I just found out how fairly recently; I'm not sure why I never knew before):
Click on start, then "run", and type in "dxdiag." Then hit enter. _________________
