I think I remember that EgoMap uses SDL for generating the map image for a level, and I think that RandMap may use it.

I have gotten EgoMap to compile, but the dependence on Crystalspace is a Bixx. I think I might be able to replace it with SDL_gui or another SDL based GUI. The dialogs are pretty simple, so I don't think that will be a problem.

I am looking into getting SDL_gui to compile so I can see what kind of widgets are available.

That would be really awesome. Sure this doesn't obstruct your development with making the trunk code stable?

I will see if I can add the new icons.
@woodmouse: If you are referring to the next Egoboo stable release, it will be when I complete the Archaeologist starter module (today i finished the left grip hand, now just to do right grip).

Don't forget to fix his "beard", too. It needs to be brown, like his hair, and shouldn't come up as far in the middle of his face.
Will the Soul Carver be in the next release as well?

I will release it as it is now. Someone can send in an improvement skin if they feel the need. I want to concentrate on getting the module finished Razz

Soulcarver only works with the new script functions. I will see what I can do.

I found one called guichan that MAY be a direct replacement for the code...

On the other hand, there is wxWidgets, but that is where arakon got bogged down!

I agree, Purple, make the skins better. I agree And the new EgoMap, YAY! I REEEEEEAAAAAALLY like the "maze" tile set. I haven't tested the others, yet, expect arcane... And why isn't there "fire" tileset? Like in Ash Palace? I have copied them there, and lots of others, but why haven't you made that, Zefz?

Well, I have only copied the existing ones and then changed their names and tilesets... I don't know does the random map thing work... Confused

Because I had lot of other stuff to do. Actually to do it properly, you need to assign the tilesets properly in those txt files to make the random map generator work properly.

Maybe you want to upload the different tilesets ready to implement in EgoMap? (Ash Palace, Shadow Palace, Ice etc.)



Did a few fixes by-the-while:

- Added a few tilesets
- Added the new icons Chainsaw made
- Upgraded settings.exe (fixed resolution bug too)
- Fixed the installer path bgbirdsey mentioned
- Fixed the pixelating (it is now optional in settings.exe)
- Updated the editor tutorial
