There are 2 modes of play- Duel and Quest.
Quest
We should have the aforementioned 'Gamemaster' whose hand everyone else must play against.
The GM holds all main story arena cards. When the others are ready they can choose to have them played, thus causing them to fight through the palace.
You would have five tiers of monsters (a.k.a GM card sets) to fight through before facing an Uber tough boss monster which, upon defeating, would grant you the prize for that level. (e.g. a Spork) The game is over when you defeat Abyss 2 and rescue the king.
Duel
2 players play off with their decks.
Each player is a GM with a set amount of HP, which can only be diminished by attacking when your opponent has no creature cards in play.
The rest, we decide.

Isn't this what I already suggested?
Maybe, but I start to like these rules. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.

I'd have a question first: on "Quest" mode, what cards would the players have? As they don't seem to have a deck like the GM... _________________ "Told you" Famous last words.
Those who post single-word/smiley messages should be einbozzled! (You don't know what it is, and believe me, you don't want to.)
Well there would be a specific 'Quest Deck' that GMs would have, and players would have their personally constructed decks. They could choose one card to be their main, which would get small bonuses or something. _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...

Eh, maybe that's not a very good idea. I mean, you could have a really bad "main" card and then it's only as good as another card that isn't the main one!
