I try to open Egoboo 2.61 and it crashes, giving me a log that tells me that setup.txt (I think) is missing.

Are you using a shortcut? There may be a error with it.

Delete the shortcut and make a new one from the Egoboo folder, I already told you this.

Hmm. That is irritating. Maybe I have to disable the installer option to add shortcuts?

No. I think it is the just the shortcut+Quick Launch icons are not actually shortcuts, they are trying to BE Egoboo!
Because my shortcut sent a log.txt to the DESKTOP saying it couldn't find setup.txt Razz

Hmm strange. So the shortcuts aren't really shortcuts but actually copies of the .exe file?

It seems to work fine on my pc.

If you look at the shortcut properties, you will see an entry called "start in:". I think that this is blank in the installed link, but it must actually be the home directory of Egoboo for the program to work.

Just my guess.

I am almost sure that any newer version won't work on my computer... It's just... a... "destiny"... I think... Because new releases won't work... Crying or Very sad

FIXED. Just made a new shortcut and deleted the old one. Weird Confused
