Last update: 04.06.08
Alright, here's the official list of all Egoboo classes.
A few things to note, in no particular order:
1. Just because you see a class on the list, that DOES NOT mean it will ever make it into the game. New classes do require quite a bit of work, so if you see a class you like, the best way you can get it into the game is by helping. I'm sure whoever started working on the class would appreciate it a lot.
2. Classes that are "unfinished" are the ones that are most certain to get in. For the most part, they are almost entirely finished and just need a starter, or maybe they even have that, and only need to be implemented into the actual game.
3. The list is more or less arranged by priority, with the farthest along / most important at the top.
4. Classes that are "planned" have virtually no work done on them and are mostly just ideas.
5. There are many, many classes on this list. If you're looking to do a new class, I encourage you to grab one off of the "planned" section rather than starting something totally new.
6. If a class is marked with an asterisk, it is no longer being worked on by their original creator. Unless someone takes over, or if the original person decides to work on it again, these classes will never be finished.
7. The names, particularly on the last list, are not that important. Just ask the person on the list what you can do. They may even give up the whole class.
8. The means to unlock the classes is provided with each one (with the exception of the eight starter classes). If it has a question mark after it, that means it's just an idea I had and is definitely not final at all. There are no unlocking methods listed for the planned classes, as I figured it was sort of a waste of time.
FINISHED CLASSES:
Quote:
Soldier Wizard Rogue Adventurer Healer Paladin Elf G'nome Zombi: Unlocked by killing Zombor in the Elf starter.
UNFINISHED CLASSES:
Quote:
Hobgoblin {by PurpleSquerkle*}: Unlocked by completing a sidequest accessed in Bishopia (?).
Vampyre {by PurpleSquerkle}: Unlocked by visiting Vladula's crypt after killing all the Vampyric Bats in level two of the Catacombs.
Archaeologist {by Agent of Dread}: Unlocked by beating the Sand Palace in eight minutes.
Angel {by Woodmouse}: Unlocked by completing a sidequest accessed in Acropolis (?).
CLASSES IN PROGRESS:
Quote:
Inventor {by Maxaxle}: Unlocked by finishing the G'nome starter, the Adventurer starter, and K'nife's Heist (?).
Lumpkin {by Agent of Dread}: Unlocked by killing forty lumpkins (?).
Druidess {by PurpleSquerkle*}: Unlocked through a sidequest accessed in Zippy City after unlocking the Bishopia module (?).
Pirate {by PurpleSquerkle*}: Unlocked through a sidequest accessed in Bishopia (?).
Cobol {by PurpleSquerkle*}: Unlocked by killing fifty cobols (?).
Necromancer {by TheHappyPinkElephant*}: Unlocked by killing all shopkeepers in Bishopia (?).
Faerie {by Axel}: Unlocked by bringing the fairies in the Water Palace back to the entrance (?).
The werewolf model can be found in the new DEV package.
I have plans of doing the Archeologist Starter sometime... its on my todo list.
And I REALLY hope I still have my Centaur somewhere I dont plan on making a Starter for him at first though.... _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

OK, AoD, I was pretty sure you did that but couldn't remember.
So is that Werewolf model the one you showed in the screenshots before? Because I kinda think that needs to be more "Egoboofied", you know, more cartoonish proportions.
Also, it'd need a skin I could work off of.
I don't skin things, I just do skins!
Yes, that doesn't make much sense, I know. I mean that I need a properly sized thing that's at least detailed enough that I know where everything is on the body, even if that just means each part is a different color (e.g., legs are blue, arms are red, head is green, etc.). _________________

But are the skins the same size as the skins of most other models?
Because I seriously think everything should be the same size; that's why I think the Centaur needs a new one. The one it has now would look out of place, I think, because it's larger and therefore more detailed. _________________

I resized the skin. Its easy. And you dont see that much difference really (Unless you use really high resolution textures) _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

What's a Hubbin? The android idea I like, but will it explode, short-circuit, fall apart, or just break and fall over when it "dies"? Or any combination of the four? Also, Zefz, can you add my Inventor to the next DEV pack? I really want to spread the goodness of being able to use machinery, regular weapons, AND magic!

Wait, the Inventor can use MAGIC?!
Why isn't it called an alchemist?!
That such a cooler name!
And the android was basically Kwoto/Quote parody; the Styx module would probably have to be done first.
And, seriously, have you not played Soulfu? You've got to know what a hubbin is.
Now to actually answer the question. A hubbin is basically a hobbit (if you don't know what THAT is, well, I can't help you). Just a different name because "hobbit" is the property of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Of course, Aaron seems to have come up with his own background for them (they're sneaky thief sorts). _________________

Don't forget the Necromancer.
Some pink elephant guy made it I think...
"Some pink elephant guy." It's funny because it's true! Anyway, I'll add that then.
Also, seriously, you *should* rename your inventor to an alchemist. And maybe redesign his appearance.
Because I'm just now realizing I forgot the Alchemist and Porc (don't remember who was going to do those, but they never did, anyway).
Oh, and would this be better under Development? _________________
