Another bug...
Bishopia complains about every slot number in multiplayer! I have really wanted to play bishopia in multiplayer for a long time!
Also the coinfall and coinget sounds are really mixed up!

A bug in the Water Palace (or anywhere with a brazier over water): At the brazier switch, if you drop the torch directly onto the brazier, the torch goes out and is lit at the same time, making a weird noise. The brazier stays lit, too. Also, when Frights are crushed in doors, they just get stuck in hem: they stay alive and are still visible, and eventually free themselves from it when the door opens.

Hey, it also seems that with any place with sleeping cobols (or probably anything else, if there is anything else that sleeps), when they wake up, the Z's stay there after they wake up...

All Z particles stay there and poofs away after a few seconds. But awake characters do not spawn new Z particles.

I dunno, it seemed like they just stayed there, it was kinda unnatural; maybe I didn't bother to stay around and see if they disappeared, I guess, but could it be scripted so they just went away when the guy woke up?

No. There is no current way to remove particles with a script function (Unless it becomes added within the source code somehow)

The Z's stop coming out, sure, but they don't *really* stop if the character sleeping is killed. If they wake up, though, it simply disappears.

Hey there, I have a huge list of bugs right now. Here they are...

Problem: If you have a stiletto and take it out of your inventory, the message says "Name drew his/her a stiletto". This isn't proper grammar, is it?
Solution: Hm...

Problem: If you grab a stiletto the message says "Name got a a stiletto.". This isn't proper grammar either...
Solution: Hm...

Problem (?): The Snow Troll doesn't disappear/ play kill animation/ whatever when he's killed. Is that intended?
Solution: Well...

Problem: In the ice palace... If you have the book of unlock and use it on the door behind the start, the message says "The door is already open..." and you can walk right through the closed door (no animation of any kind used).
Solution: No idea.

Problem: When the player picks up the spork in the ice palace the message says "Name picked up the golden spork of ice". The
spork of ice is not golden, but cyan...
Solution: Put a different colour into the message.

Problem: When reloading a (cross-)bow with a quiver while holding two or more quivers, one quiver is thrown in the direction the user is facing.
Solution: Do the same fix to the quiver as was done to the ammo box.

Problem: F8 toggles pause so fast that you just can't control it. You may have to press F8 several times to successfully turn pause on/off.
Solution: Either prevent the game from recognizing the F8 key a second time after having pressed it until it is released again or build in a small waiting time (about one third second?) in which the game completely ignores F8 after pressing it.

Problem: The mephits' wings in the ice palace sometimes have a different colour than the mephit itself or are being missed completely (!).
Solution: Huh, this is a strange bug. This means: I do not have the slightest idea what might cause this.
---> Didn't happen again. Strange.

Problem: Torches bought in Bishopia (junk yard) cannot be lit at the braziers of the zambini emporium.
Solution: Depends. I don't know if it is the braziers that don't light the torch or the torch that can't be lit by the braziers.

Problem: One of the vampires in the catacombs (near 50,58 ) is trapped in the wall.
Solution: Spawn him slightly further away from the wall.

Problem: Chocobones can loot chests without opening them. (seen in the catacombs, not seen in the abyss)
Solution: Disable the chocobone to open stuff?

Problem: Healers aren't able to use the relic of turning (catacombs) although they're supposed to be.
Solution: The script asks for [HEAL] as a skill-ID. However, the healer only has [HEAL] as a type-ID. Either change that or make the relic ask for [GOOD] as a special-ID (would enable the paladin to use the relic as well).

Problem: If an elf is killed by a bat in the catacombs, the message says "name fell to blah...". Blah sounds quite silly, doesn't it?
Solution: Make the bats' names unknown.

Problem: The shield of fire is named "shield of health".
Solution: Change its name to "shield of fire" or something.

? Problem ?: When opening certain chests (especially in the catacombs), the game randomly crashes.
? Solution ?: Huh... I wonder what might cause this in the first place...?

Graphic Glitch: Looking at it from certain places, the water in the ice palace seems to disappear.
Solution: Eh...

Balancement Problem: In the palaces, any crossbow/bow/other ranged weapon used by enemies has maximum ammo. That is bad in my opinion, as it takes horribly long to block off this much arrows, and also, if the player kills the enemy before he wastes all the ammo there will still be a good deal of ammo left. Which isn't a problem at all - just the great amount of ammo is. Take the ice/ash palace as an example. Many cobols use crossbows with 50 ammo there. Since you can pick those crossbows up and use them yourself after having killed their owners, however, you can get lots of almost fully loaded crossbows for free. This makes the palaces a lot easier than I think is intended.
Thus my suggestion: give those ranged weapons used by enemies no more than 10 ammo, maybe even less. Cobols should then only restock the ammo to that amount if they do at all (not very hard to do - let the cobol refill the crossbow and then just take away 40 ammo again). Ranged weapons in chests or elsewhere would of course be untouched.

Balancement Problem: If you play a healer and enter one of the cities with a torch or anything else than can burn something, you can just go burn every single book you find and get lots of experience for this. The shopkeepers seem to not care about that. You can get a lvl-1-healer to lvl 6 this way, without having to fight anything!
Solution: Well... The only one that comes to my mind right now would be to remove the healer's XP-Bonus for burning books, but as this would be a bad solution there must be another one... Or now that I think about it... Maybe make the books "call for help" when they're burned?

Balancement Problem: Tundra Bunnies can just pick up any item they want without paying anything. This means the player can cheat himself infinite gold this way! But well, this problem should be known already.
Solution: This is why I wrote this problem again: I found a solution that might work. Make any item in the shops "call for help" if they're picked up by somebody in the "null"-team. It might be some work, but I think it's worth it. Or make the tundra bunny, if somehow possible, just not pick up those items (make them all cursed and uncurse them if they're picked up by somebody in the "good"-team? Then curse items that drop into the shop area? ...Nah, that would be silly. And it would disturb healers). The simplest solution of all would of course be to take away the tundra bunny's ability to pick up items, but I guess people don't want that.

Balancement Problem: A 2nd-level elf with the book of orb storm can just beat up the whole Abyss without any problems and can even beat the deamon lord if he's a little careful - without any health potions. Strange, since a 6th-level rogue, as an example, cannot - not even with 9 health potions and a magical/silver crossbow. Tells us what? The book of orb storm is too strong in the hands of an elf (while it is still strong but at least roughly balanced in the hands of a wizard or other arcane magic user since they don't have a that fat mana return.)
Solution: Hm. Somehow weaken the elf's magic, be it by reducing the amount of mana return he gains per level up or reduce his mana flow.
Note: Screenshots (zipped) attached. No cheating, no potions used. (Oh well, I didn't beat the boss that time, but who cares?)

Suggestion: Recolor the spork of fire to a more bronze/red colour? I don't really like to have two different sporks with the same colour...

Suggestion: What about creating an "elixir of mana"? It would have pretty much the same effect as the elixir of life, except for healing and increasing mana. It should then also only be usuable by classes which may use [WMAG] or [GOOD] (to prevent classes without mana from getting mana). I think it would be slightly less worth than the elixir of life, let's say $1500 as an example.

Suggestion: Maybe sell lamps in one of the cities? Right now, it's rather hard to get yourself some light in the dark dungeons. Sure, the wizard/elf/adventurer can just use a book of fearie light, and paladin already has a lamp, but all the others have to get torches right now (which isn't all that easy if you can't light the torch). Also, oil flasks are just about useless if nobody has a lamp (however, you would then again have to make the lamp somehow set it's own value depending on its ammo left to prevent free rebuying. I also wouldn't mind if the lamp was a bit more expensive then, say about $100.)

Question: Some runes have such a high mana-flow-requirement that the paladin will never be able to use them. Is that intended? If it is, never mind. (Holy Bolt, Resurrection)

Oh, and please don't kill me if some of them have already been noticed. Very Happy
