Balancement Problem: Tundra Bunnies can just pick up any item they want without paying anything. This means the player can cheat himself infinite gold this way! But well, this problem should be known already.

I don't think this needs fixed. It's very Nethacklike. Perhaps make it so that there's a chance the guards notice it's stealing, though, and attack?

In NetHack, you have to train your pet well to make it bring you items. In Egoboo, this isn't true. Also, in NetHack you can't steal items infinitely - at some point the shop will be empty. Again, in Egoboo, you can just leave the module and enter it again - all items can be stolen again. So I think this does need to be fixed, although your way of solving it might work as well (maybe a 60% chance for the item to "call for help" when somebody in the "null"-team picks it up)

There used to be something in the Zippy city module where if you attacked a guard or a civilian, you would be transferred to the Evil team and all the guards would beat on you. Maybe that's the way that could work?

Also, since the modules are supposed to be persistent, maybe we could change the random spawn in cities to a static spawns where a finite number of items are sored with the module and if they are exported out of the module, they are deleted from the module's "inventory"?

But how will we buy new stuff when we actually need it?

Yeah, exactly; stuff can be permanently lost in dungeons, so without a constant supply, at one point there will be no way to get certain items.

Ah, another excellent bug report!

Stiletto naming bugs: Fixed.

Snow Troll: This monster is actually not animated at all and really not done yet. Its sorta of a place holder until we finish it.

Unlock Spell in Ice Palace: Should be fixed before next release.

Ice Spork Messaging: Fixed.

Quiver throw bug: Fixed.

Game Pause Bug: This needs some work in the Source Code todo. It's low priority right now, but I will see what can be done.

Ice Mephit wings: Strange, think I need to test some to see what happened.

Bishopia Torches: Fixed

Stuck vampire: Fixed.

Chocobone opening Catacomb chests: Fixed.

Relic of Turning: Fixed.

Bat message bug: Fixed.

Shield of fire naming: Fixed.

Quote:
? Problem ?: When opening certain chests (especially in the catacombs), the game randomly crashes.
? Solution ?: Huh... I wonder what might cause this in the first place...?

This is very bad. Hopefully it's a simple script error.

Water bugs in Ice Palace: Guess this is a bug that can be fixed in EgoMap. Strange though that i've never seen it. Is your water quality setting low or high?

BALANCE ISSUES

Ranged Ammo: Yes, reducing ammo in these weapons might be a good idea. This also makes quivers more important and useful.

Healer burning books: Yep I know about this one. It's quite ugly. Removing XP for burning bugs is a effective but cheap fix. Maybe the Call for Help function here is a good idea.

Tundra Bunny: Hmm. This may be discussed some more maybe. Anyways a dexterity check for the bunny and a wisdom check for nearby guards could check for a steal attempt.

Elf need some balancing. Okay. I always thought that his mana return was ridiciously high.

SUGGESTIONS
This should be in the suggestion forum, but okay. Ill make the spork of fire rust collored (While the sand remains gold).

I have the elixir of mana in my unreleased objects package. It's coming in the game sooner or later I guess.

I actually planned to add lamps into the g'nome and maybe junk shop, but never came that far.

Divine Spells: Paladins are supposed to be never able to use a few divine spells (The most powerful ones). But the Holy Bolt spell is one he should be able to use quite early (Lvl 3 or so). Ill fix this. Restoration and Confusion are Healer only spells (Unless the Paladin uses some sort of magic item that enpowers his mana flow).

I know. Eating bodies introduces a number of bugs.

There are more?
I mean, there's the lumpkin blood color thing, and when you eat things like the scorpion boss his claws stay there, but the first should be fixable somehow and the second is like... "whatever."

You would get new objects into the towns by adventuring for them and selling to the merchants. There could also be a relatively slow respawn rate for objects if a store is cleared out.

This makes some sense... The elves are made of about 1/2 magic since they are creatures of Faerie.

To simulate this, maybe the elf should suffer HP loss if his mana is too low?

Also, I think that the Elf's major IDSZ should be changed to [FAER] (or whatever fairies are). Another line to the Vladula script? But maybe Fae creatures are immune to vampires? Remember how Legolas was completely unfazed by having to travel the Paths of the Dead? They don't die like mortals...

For that, we'll need larger inventories.
I don't tend to carry what i don't need, and i try to leave some space for new items i may find, so i doubt anyone will just carry random swords and shields from dungeons into towns.

Bah! Why must we compare things to popular works of fiction?
There are other ways to portray elves, you know.

Of course, but Tolkein's description is just so darn interesting! Very Happy Much more so than an off the cuff one like:

"elves are just like humans, but a bit shorter, have pointy ears, and tend to live in the forest. Oh, plus they can use bows."
Ack

PLUS it fits in with the real mythos and historical beliefs about Fae creatures. Very Happy AND there are hardly any games that I can think of that pay any attention to this, so we could be unique. Wink
