I don't know where to post this else than here, since all the important stuff seems to go here. Anyway...
I think we really need a system like this. With more and more members registering and more and more rules being broken, I can't help myself but to issue warnings to those who break the rules; I just cannot spend two hours or more a day removing and merging posts. This is just a rough idea so far, so this is still subject to change; if you want to discuss the system or the latest penalties, feel free to post in this thread. However, pointless posts will be removed. I hope you'll agree on this, Zefz. Anyway, let's get started.
-------------------------------
System:
If you break the rules too much, you'll earn penalty points. How many you get depends on how often you broke a rule and how annoying/important it was. Your PP will reduce slightly with time if you stop breaking the rules though; It's 1 PP a day.
- hitting 25 PP results in a 1-day-ban.
- hitting 50 PP results in a 1-week-ban.
- hitting 75 PP results in a 2-week-ban.
- hitting 100 PP or more results in a permanent ban.
And here's the list:
Code:

You used me as example?
Well, your behaviour made me start this in the first place; however, if you follow the rules now (okay, I won't give you penalties if you just make one double-post a week or something) we can soon forget about your penalty again. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.
I am okay with a system like that, but it seems to me it takes a little time and effort managing the list and make it up to date.
If someone is willing to spend time on keeping the list up to date, go for it _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Alright. I'll do the job; it's better than to have lots of work removing and merging stuff all the time in my opinion.
UPDATE: Jarramundi got 10 PP because almost all of his/her posts so far were double-posts.
Just a reminder: double-posts are acceptable after 24 hours, but not earlier. The re-post trick is still better though. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.

Sure, that sounds fair! But wait...How will different rule-breakings be rated? Say, 1 point for every 2 spam posts, or 2 points for a useless thread, etc.?
I rate it for the general annoyance. I won't give away PP for one or two breakings, maybe not even for three; just when it starts to get annoying. Then I define the amount of PP depending on how annoying the user exactly was, and how serious the rules he broke are (and on how often he broke the rules so far). Usually, the more annoying one is, the more PP he gets. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.

I would like to point out that that sentence was littered with awful pronoun inconsistencies.
Now that I'm done being a grammar-obsessed jerk, do you think permanent bans should be TOTALLY permanent? I think they should be able to come back and beg for mercy after a reasonable period of time. _________________

Meh. I'm German you know. I should use less complicated words.

Well, I'll leave that to Zefz. I think, however, they should at least be three months. After all, if somebody doesn't improve his behaviour even after a two-week-ban, he has really earned a permanent ban in my opinion. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.
What about 1 or 2 points for Maxaxle?
No, this isn't a personal preference, his pointless bumping is REALLY pissing me off. _________________ ...i c whut u did thar...
