Nah, Maxaxle didn't do any bad stuff in the past few weeks, so I don't see why he should get points right now. And I guess, Zefz is an exception to the rule, since he's the admin and probably won't ban himself from his own forum...
However, Jarramundi gets another 4 PP. He made even more double-posts after I added him to the list. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.
hey man, I don't want bleeding eyeballs I just want to get your game working properly!
I thought that double posts were making two threads.. I know what you mean now. I promise not to double post again.
What is the correct way to add a piece of information if I discover it before someone else posts? I don't want to piss anyone off. I'm just trying to help you sort it out, because I know there are a lot of linux users out there who would like a solution...

1. It was a joke, don't bleed your eyeballs.
2. Don't worry, we all do that at times. Back last year we always double posted.
3. Just use Clonki's trick. _________________

Okay, glad to hear that.

The -button is your friend.
If your post already is a few hours old, but not a whole day (say six hours), and you want people to notice it, click "edit" and copy its contents. Then delete it and post a new post, into which you paste the content of your old post, and then add the new information. That way it will be marked as a new post for everyone, but not be a double-post.

That's fine, of course! Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But it's not that bad anyway, if you follow the rules now, everything about your penalty will be forgotten in about two weeks. (People with 0 PP will be removed from the list again) _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.

I think we really need a system like this. With more and more members registering and more and more rules being broken, I can't help myself but to issue warnings to those who break the rules; I just cannot spend two hours or more a day removing and merging posts. This is just a rough idea so far, so this is still subject to change; if you want to discuss the system or the latest penalties, feel free to post in this thread. However, pointless posts will be removed. I hope you'll agree on this, Zefz. Anyway, let's get started.
-------------------------------
System:
If you break the rules too much, you'll earn penalty points. How many you get depends on how often you broke a rule and how annoying/important it was. Your PP will reduce slightly with time if you stop breaking the rules though; It's 1 PP a day.
- hitting 25 PP results in a 1-day-ban.
- hitting 50 PP results in a 1-week-ban.
- hitting 75 PP results in a 2-week-ban.
- hitting 100 PP or more results in a permanent ban.
And here's the list:
Code:
Name______________PP___Reasons
woodmouse 13 Lots of double-posts in less than an hour, overuse of caps
Jarramundi 12 Allmost all of his/her posts so far were double-posts.

@Maxaxle: Yeah, I noticed it later. It's correct now.
@all: Don't spam, guys. Even in the SPAM- and cookie-threads, one-smiley-posts are a rather bad thing to make (come on, if you really are bored, you'll be able to think of more than just a smiley, won't you?), but in normal threads that's just plain annoying. At least write one or two words, it isn't that hard. So no more posts of that kind, okay? (That includes you, Agent of Dread. No just ""-posts.) _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.

AoD, although you're a moderator, you shouldn't abuse your power by doing stupid stuff. And since moderators are no exception to the rules, I'll give you 3 PP now. You've been really annoying in the past few days. _________________ Yes, it's true. I fail. Epicly so.
