I'm assuming this is a problem with something I'm not configuring properly, but I don't see anything obvious on what in any of the config files I could change to eliminate this behaviour.
The player controlled avatar constantly tries to run at high speed towards the top left of the screen, regardless of how I reorient the perspective with the mouse - nothing I try will make the avatar stand still, including the addition of a joystick for controls (didn't work). The control pad responds, but not in a usable way.
I have had this exact same issue persist through 2 versions of Ubuntu, a major system upgrade, another version of Ubuntu, and finally this version of Debian Etch, which leads me to believe it must be something I'm missing, but I didn't see anything in the forums referencing this problem in specific, nor anywhere immediately obvious in a search.
Is it possible it's the wireless mouse I'm using? Besides that, the only thing that remains the same through the last system rebuild is hard drive (post many formats and rebuilds) and the case. Help please? The game looks like it could be fun, but I can't really begin to find out. |
