If it is someone from Star Wars, maybe a wookie or a stormtrooper? Those would be the most iconic and easily recognizable.
They are usually related to the class that the character is, like Soldier->Rambo, pointy eared elf->Mr. Spock, Rogue->Ninja.
Maybe..... Paladin->Jedi? they are similar...

PS I have been trying to play an Archaeologist on SlashEm. Almost impossible. Not as difficult as the vampire, but almost...
Bullwhip keeps you from falling in pits, can do research to identify items, are fast so you can often run away. Comes with a touchstone so you can id gems right off the bat.
BUT are weak and fragile. Does not come with a pistol!!!!

Yeah, archaeologists are much better in Vanilla Nethack because they stay the same in Slash'em, while some of the new classes get nice stuff like guns.
Anyway, I AM making a lightsaber. That's at least one star wars thing.
And the Soldier's costume always makes me think of Contra, really.
Oh, and the Rogue's costume is the Arabian one, not the ninja suit...
Besides, didn't someone say they were making a ninja? So then we could replace that with, like... bandito suit. Yeah. _________________

Btw speaking of the Archeologist, I plan to add him into the game as one of the Base classes. What do you think? This class is a typical nethack charictaristic and so I think it would fit nicely into egoboo. I have new skills, starter module and such already planned for him.
At some later point we may also consider adding the Vampyre as a base class (A evil class, the opposite of the Paladin). Or do you think that this would be overdoing the amount of classes we have in Egoboo? _________________ http://egoboo.sourceforge.net

Archaeologist for a base class is a good idea, but I think the vampyre is too different to work, I always intended him to be a special character... _________________

Maybe we could use the running-the-gauntlet dungeon for the archaeologist? Fill it with trapped items and small statues that you have to use for keys, and rolling boulders?
