same as 2.7.7 it still says the "Unknown software expection" error.
sigh maybe ill get the linux version to run on vmware player

Well, 2.7.7 is the development version, and those are always really buggy.
Personally, it works for me, but it suddenly decided to not show me any of my characters, and continues to refuse to display them on the selection screen. 
Anyway, try 2.6.1.

2.6.1b that is. Or wait after this weekend, when I hopefully get the new 2.6.x released.

Yay.
Is your priority closing the gap by fixing the problems in the development versions so they can be stabilized, or just advancement to the development versions themselves?

Yep, gravestones, bishopia captain and probably a few other texture skins used in Griffin Tower (Bosses and various mobs).
